Summer activities
Our BergMoment B&B is located in the centre of Lenggries. The peaks of the Karwendel mountain range and the Brandenberg Alps are within easy reach. With its excellent conditions for hiking, cycling, climbing and paragliding, our hometown is known as the centre of mountain sports. Water lovers will enjoy the clear waters of the Tegernsee, Schliersee, Kochel and Walchensee lakes.
Cycling
Hop on your bike and discover the hills around Lenggries up to the Hohenburg ruin. Mountain bikers and free riders will flock to Bikepark Lenggries at Brauneck, just 2.5 km away from Hotel BergMoment.
Mountain climbing
The 1,801 metre high Benediktenwand is one of the most famous mountains in the Bavarian uplands. Its striking rock faces are frequently used as the backdrop to film and TV programs and offer varied routes for walking and mountain climbing.
Hiking
Due to its proximity to the mountains and excellent hiking conditions, Lenggries is considered the “gateway to the Karwendel range”. Nearby Brauneck attracts visitors with its mountain path while in the south, you can go on tours to the Lenggrieser Hut, the Sylvenstein Dam and many other routes.
Paragliding
Brauneck near Lenggries is a designated paragliding flight area. It’s also one of the best mountains for tandem flights. If you would like to learn, there are several flying schools offering flights.
Golfing
The wonderfully green Alpine foothills formally invite you to play a round of golf. The Isarwinkel and Bad Tölz golf clubs are situated close by to us. There’s also a number of additional clubs around the Tegernsee lake, just 30 minutes away.

Winter activities
Winter is perhaps the best time of the year to visit the Tölzer Land. An air of calm and contemplation sets in when the meadows and forests are covered in white. If it’s not snowing, the foehn wind and low temperatures provide long periods of good weather. These are excellent conditions for all open-air activities.
Winter hiking
Walk through the wonderful winter landscape equipped with snow shoes or go on a winter hiking trail. It’s especially romantic just after a fresh fall of snow.
Skiing
The Brauneck mountain in Lenggries is regularly a venue for the FIS alpine ski races. Other interesting resorts such as the Jachenau ski resort or the Hirschberg lifts are just under 30 minutes away by car.
Cross-country skiing
Our guests will find 42 kilometres of perfectly prepared cross-country skiing trails for all styles in the area around Lenggries and the Brauneck. There are another 112 kilometres nearby that are just waiting for sporty nature lovers.
Tobogganing
Tobogganing is great fun for the whole family and is popular among visitors to the Tölzer Land. There’s even a separate tobogganing lift at Brauneck and special safety toboggans are available for hire.

Guests who want to enjoy an active summer holiday have come to exactly the right place. Lenggries offers the choice between a number of day trips as well as sporting and cultural activities. Even if you are on holiday with children in the Tölzer Land, you will be delighted with the local opportunities that are available.
Summer tobogganing
Just a few minutes away by car is the summer tobogganing run in the Jaudenhang. With a length of 1.6 km and 24 steep curves, the run offers a rapid descent through wonderful nature.
Viking village
The Flake Viking village is located on lake Walchensee and is the former film set for Bully Herbig’s “Wickie” film from 2008. Visitors are welcome and it’s lots of fun for all fans of Vikings and the Bully films.
Water fun
The rivers and lakes in the surrounding areas will draw you in with many exciting adventures. Whether you take part in some stand-up paddling, rafting or kayaking, you will enjoy plenty of magical moments on lake Sylvensteinsee or on the Isar.
Nature trails
Enjoy the uniquely beautiful landscape and learn something about the region’s flora and fauna at the same time. The nature discovery trail on the Isar is close by and provides lots of interesting information about the whitewater river.

What is a holiday without taking a look at the culture and history of the land and its people? Discover the historic centre of the region and embark on a journey into its past. Only a few areas in the world offer such a dense offering of unique cultural assets as Upper Bavaria.
Munich
Munich is a popular tourist destination with a rich history. You can look forward to seeing attractions such as the Church of Our Lady, the Hofbräuhaus or Marienplatz. Munich’s fabulous art galleries and museums are always worth a visit.
Leonhardi
The Leonhardifahrt in Bad Tölz is an annual pilgrimage that attracts increasing numbers of visitors. The holiday always starts on the first Sunday after All Saints Day and includes the large Leonhardi Ball in the evening following the procession.
Royal palaces
The palaces belonging to the Bavarian fairy-tale king Ludwig II are among the most popular tourist attractions in Bavaria. Linderhof Palace is less than an hour away from Lenggries!
Wiesn
Munich’s Oktoberfest is the biggest party in the world and takes place every year on the Theresienwiese. Join in with the merry throng as they sway in the marquees and have some fun on the fairground rides.
